5 best cafes to work in Warsaw [Muranów district].

Try the best coffees in Warsaw, enjoy afternoon lovely walks with the views on historic buildings, and feel the spirit of art present all around you. Discover the top five places in Muranów to work and study with coffee cup near you.

Situated only four tram stops from Warsaw Main Railway Station and two from Warsaw Gdańska Railway Station, Muranów seems to be closer than you think. The district mainly known from its rich history (former ghetto area) is filled with artistic places such as cinemas, theatres, workshop spots, exhibitions, and great laptop-friendly cafes! Caution: Be careful, it is one of those places you fell in love with.

#5. Tonka Bakery

Opened last year, Tonka is relatively new in Muranow, Warsaw. The cafe is a big, laptop-friendly place when you can easily work, or study. It brings you a chance to take a window sit and relax during the breaks by watching the park on the other side of the cafe. Tonka offers great coffee, amazing season lattes, and great baked goods. Be careful, it’s the most expensive of all fives!

#4. Fat White Coffee Bar

Fat White is the smallest cafe suggestion on the list here. However it deserves fair, fourth place for the best cafe in Muranow for its design and quality of drinks. Since the very begging when you enter the place, you have the impression it was designed by hipsters. Even the name itself brings you image of stylish skater wearing the cap. The cafe, connected with barber shop, is a mekka for science-fiction fans. On the wall, shelfs, chairs you will spot various figurines and posters of cartoon/movie/comics characters.

Fat White cafe is tiny, so you may find it difficult to work/study there. It’s great to hang out, or take coffee to go, and move your daily tasks to the park, opposite the place.

#3. Kaffe Bageri Stockholm

The new place on the map in Warsaw. The cafe is well adjusted to remote workers looking for laptop-friendly spots in the city. Kaffe Bageri Stockholm is known well to Cracow visitors - this is where the idea for cafe started. Now, available in the capitol of Poland, it offers great coffee and homemade buns. Since the very early morning, you may notice over the window a baker making buns for cafe’s first guests. Kaffe Bageri is a Swedish cafe with beautiful interior design, signature cups, and Pippi Longstocking themed decorations.

#2. NA BANK

Na Bank cafe is the biggest work-friendly spot of all five. It is placed right at the exit of Ratusz Arsenał subway station. Cafe offers also sandwiches, and quiches, so you don’t get hungry during long stays. If you are not a fan of coffee, you may try their nice teas too! Look for the free spots patiently as the place gets busy over the weekend and during the summer.

#1. Dobra Materia

Always busy, and always good! With Dobra Materia cafe on Nowolipki street, you are never disappointed. Their quality of coffee is at top of rankings and google ratings are high. The prices are reasonable and common for Warsaw. The bean brands change over time, so you never know what new discovery of taste wait for you there. The cafe works great for those who enjoy drinking coffee with art being around. The place hosts a temporary free wall exhibitions of city artists.

Dobra materia is the best place to hang out with friends and work, but busy most of the time, so be patient with finding a free spot.

ALERT TIP: Enjoy Dobra Materia coffee at home! Buy a coffee package, and get a cup of coffee at no cost :)

* Summer tip:

In the summer, there is no better way than taking a blanket or yoga mat and hit the Ogród Krasińskich in Muranów, Warsaw. In the park you may spot (especially during the weekends) Bike Cafe which has great coffee with lots of different syrups. Highly recommended!
